Former Kieslowski actor Jerzy Stuhr turns up as Adam Borowski, a successful prosecutor for a Polish court who we follow in a very special week in his life. At last his dream house is in sight, as is publication of his latest book. He also has to rehearse every evening with a male-voice choir that is about to travel to England for a concert. In addition, Borowski swims a few lengths every morning and then pulls himself up on the side like a walrus to start an exciting new day. Stuhr serves up his wonderful ironic character study with untold energy, with a leading role for the Polish male-voice choir that put the words of Hamlet so beautifully to music: 'What a piece of work is a man!
